Why We Built This

The software didn't fail. The adoption did.

We spent eleven years implementing HR software and building core business systems for other companies — that's our firm, Sixty One Steps, working inside businesses across Chennai and beyond since 2015.

Here's what we almost always saw happen: adoption quietly faded. Not on day one, but on day ninety. Leave requests drifted back to WhatsApp. Attendance went back to the spreadsheet. The HRMS became a login nobody used and an invoice nobody questioned. It happens more often than anyone wants to admit, and it is not for the reason you would think.

The features were never the problem. Every HRMS has leave management and attendance tracking. The problem, however, is that most HR software is built to be sold, not to be used.

So, we built Squad HR, the HRMS built around adoption, not features.
